I think he's saying that 90% of black voters vote Democratic, so by definition black Democrats are representative of the full range of demographic/personality types, while most white voters vote Republican, so white Democrats come from a narrower slice of the population.

Obviously if you have American politics polarized by race (as it is even with Trump's slight gains with POC in 2020) then the exceptions to norms (blacks who vote GOP, 40-40% of whites who vote for Dems) will be demographically/culturally distinct in some ways. 1/2

What I find maddening about this analysis is that it's taking a situation that is really about racial polarization in political system and making it about personality types. "White liberals are like this but blacks are like this." Just a distraction 2/2
