Harvey Milk is of course the most famous/consequential victim. But Dan White, ex-cop and city Supervisor, also killed Mayor Moscone. Diane Feinstein, prez of board of Supes, had to tell the city of their deaths, and immediate start her new job as acting mayor. So anyway...yeah.https://twitter.com/travisakers/status/1384882691838025732 …

Perhaps this is the story that @TuckerCarlson was trying to get ahead of. In his college yearbook, he listed himself as a member of the "Dan White Society." Dan White was the man who murdered Harvey Milk. pic.twitter.com/TYklyfC8tS

Aside from everything else, Dan White killing fellow city supervisor and the mayor is a horrific act of workplace violence. cool cool

This is so weird. Why would someone in college in the northeast in the late 1980s, even a homophobe, have been thinking about Dan White, who committed his crime in the late 1970s and committed suicide in 1985, and was not a household name? It’s such an obscure reference.

Carlson lived in San Francisco when White committed his assassinations.

Ah right -- he was born in San Fransisco and moved to La Jolla around age 6. Still, it's hard to imagine someone growing up in California not hearing about the assassination.

I think someone’s suggestion that there may have been an LGBT group at Trinity named after Harvey Milk, and this was him trolling them seems plausible.

yeah. On any level it's a gross & vile thing to do. I mean imagine reacting to a Martin Luther King society by forming a Jame s Earl Ray society.

Also...even within the confines of rival private schools, knowing of other schools clubs and trolling them in your yearbook page...doesn't entirely scan? That's a verrrrrrry long game for an 18-yo.

I'm going to look into this but I suspect he more likely came across the name Milk & White in National Review or the American Spectator. Those magazines would be around his house at that time (his dad was very right wing) and they often mocked Milk in 1980s.

Beside the point, of course, but Tucker had a pretty anemic list of genuine extra-curriculars compared to his classmates on the same page. Also, Jesse Helms is a pretty clear signal of intent in his trolls.
