What is the most convincingly good imaginary work of art? (Like the poetry in 'Pale Fire' or 'Possession,' or the painting in 'Grand Budapest Hotel.') Must be actually quoted or shown in the frame work, not just described or handwaved.

It was better than the supplemental text end pieces, by far. Those extras became a name of a cliche for too many other comics writers, in my opinion ( of course).
