Substack is fine because, as Jeet said, it genuinely allows voices of different ideologies and approaches to do well. There is anti-woke, pro-woke, people writing on books, sports, you name it. It's 2000s blog culture but now you can make a buck on the side.

People complain about Substack Pro but who really, deeply cares? It's a small % of people on there and the irony is, at least for the heavy hitters like Yglesias, the Pro deals aren't really great for them since they are doing way better than anticipated
