I mean, "Young Justice" did the same exact same thing in every episode that a Jack Kirby character appeared in. I don't think this is a Snyder thing.

I'll say this for DC at least: it's more respect for Jack Kirby than the MCU tends to show . . .

That and the fact that Kirby's grandson has nothing but praise over the films treatment of his grandfather's characters.

I know this might outrage people with wafer-thin comics knowledge, but Siegel/Shuster, Kane/Finger, and Marston/Peters weren’t inspired by, or subordinate to, Jack Kirby. And this is, theoretically, still a Justice League movie. And they deserve, at least, equal billing.

And Wolfman/Perez, although Cyborg is only a JL member for marketing reasons, going back to 1980s toys, cartoons, and merchandise. I’d mention Kanigher/Infantino and Weisinger/Norris but their characters didn’t actually appear in the movie in any recognizable way.

That is the way his creations should be acknowledged. No one should need to squint to read his name on superhero adaptations. After the settlement with his family, I wanted some visual representation of him in the films. Maybe posters of his art or a lookalike actor. Something.

Counterpoint: you don't. Why spend four hours to see on your TV what you just saw in that tweet?

I only got through half last night (hey I’ve got a 2 year old and couldn’t start until 9:00), but the thing I think Snyder gets right about Kirby is the operatic nature of everything, which stands in stark contrast to Marvel’s winking approach to their movies
