I wonder what Chomsky thinks of the label of * naive universalist* being applied to him? And even though Chomsky is definitely a genius, his rebuttal of Foucault in that famous TV debate didn't require genius in order to invoke them. Chomsky's rebuttals were sensible, not genius

Nailed it, Jeet. I think Foucault had a few ingenious insights on history, power, surveillance, and the construction of knowledge, but his morality and overall philosophical approach beyond these few contexts was limited.
