i dunno Danny, seems like the "left" project of the past few years (at least the Bernie-centric one) has basically been about restoring midcentury new deal liberalism. not saying that's sufficient; it's not. but it's true.

because bernie was never the end goal and if we're running different candidates we should choose ones that are closer to the real goals of the left.

There's a lot more Bernie could do if he won (which is why I supported Bernie) but there's also a basic framework and conjuncture that remains the same, which calls for the same response no matter which Dem is in power.
