Here's a USAmerican bear (sex) novel, The Bear Comes Home, with, as I recall, a disquisition on the bone in a bear's penis.
I just read this recently and it’s a god damn masterpiece.
I read it in 2017; it’s a genuinely good book. It’s not on everyone’s shelf, but I had an easier time tracking it down than, say, Mad Shadows, which is less notorious a book but even more a “classic” of Canadian literature.
