Still not sure I understand. I think if we have mass vaccination by late summer, odds are very high than we'll have a lasting return to something-approaching normal (until the next pandemic, which could of course be soon)

One way it could which is that CARE & new stimulus will show big advantage of just cutting checks to end poverty. Could lead to long term change.

I think it's more likely than not that we emerge from this with a much better welfare state and way more investment in green tech. Having a unified Dem government come to power at a time of elite consensus in favor of massive deficit spending and public investment is a big deal

yeah, it looks like this time the Dems aren't going to waste the crisis. In terms of other social changes, I do think based on Asia after SARs example, we're going to see people more widely careful about germs & spread.
