I've seen this happen many many times--the headlines and editorials of a publication misuse the work of their own reporters in order to give a different impression than the actual reporting should. Oh well.

Pl ask remind me why the NYT has the reputation they do? Yes they put out some amazing investigative reporting BUT almost always counter it with incredibly poor editorial choices (Her emails, Rolex story) and then tabloid style headlines that don’t match the content like this
