None of it, NONE did any good to protect Lincoln from dying by assassination. So what is the moral of the story then?

I damn sure hope there are sharpshooters on the roofs this time around, considering the likelihood of rioters trying to stop proceedings and/or assassinate him is high. It would be much safer with people watching on guard from above.
