I would think that outfit would be very uncomfortable in a Vietnam Jungle. Might be useful keeping terrestrial leeches from biting.

Huh, I was under the impression that the whole Captain America as a critic of U.S. Gov't/Foreign Policy was a Steve Englehart thing and most of it was retconned by Kirby when he started writing Captain America again after returning to Marvel.
