Biden's goal, clearly, is to move USA to post-Trump political environment, which will be easier to govern. The open question is whether, once he's out of power, Trump will dwindle into being just another right-wing blowhard or whether he'll remain de fact head of GOP.

I can understand by *Biden* wants to stay above the fray but frankly I’m extremely disappointed in the rest of the Democratic Party.

Frankly it kinda underscores my longstanding suspicion that there was never any real plan to make sure our votes counted other than scolding us for not voting hard enough if things didn’t pan out.

If I err, it's on the side of ignoring Trump. History, I'm pretty sure, will regard his lame duck antics as pathetic, and outcome will confirm stability of our institutions.
