If the Democrats were a serious political party aiming at power (instead of a job program for insiders), they would think about how Feinstein's hug of Lindsey Graham hurt them with down ballot voters.pic.twitter.com/0sIaIIk884

What is a political party? Is it a jobs program with seniority for long-time members? Or does it have a set of principles it seeks to advance, which can be served by retiring those too old to serve and actively recruiting the young?
Beyond this photograph, consider the fact that the nomination of Amy Coney Barrett was a big deal, that Feinstein's inept handlings of the hearings were so bad that Barrett's approval rose markedly. Consider how that impacted Senate races.pic.twitter.com/GvGZirya7e

“Ruthless gaming of the system” otherwise known as appointing judges to seats that are open
They blocked Obama from filling open seats for years. Once the dems lost the senate in 2014 there was basically nothing he could do to fill open seats. It allowed the republicans to fill in seats they shouldn't have been able to.

I hear that. Any retrospective analysis would show that there was an immediate need for unceasingly aggresive action.
I think it's time for her to step aside but I also rarely hear these kinds of arguments made about men. McCain had terminal cancer and died a sitting Senator in his 80's.
Should've also retired. I think in this case too it's criminal to keep someone with a mental condition on the job. Schumer and Pelosi as well just get them out.
