Vox unionized a couple years ago and now all their most famous writers left eight months into an economically catastrophic pandemic, shortly after the end of a four year political era, an end that seemed likely to change opinion writing. I guess he'd ascribe it to unionization?
That said, I would like to know what’s going on at Vox.
My claim: everything started going downhill when economists replaced lawyers as the most influential profession in public policy/government. Essentially shifted from governance largely based on rights/freedoms/process to ideology dressed up in pseudo-science.
The lawyers weren't perfect, of course-- often the rights, freedoms, justice, and process were only available to some and not others. But over time, they would become more broad and inclusive, moving toward a more Perfect Union, as the lawyers wrote in the Constitution itself.
