The deeper question to ask is whether Trump has any agenda-setting power once out of office. I suspect it’s much less than people currently appreciate.https://twitter.com/HeerJeet/status/1332460695024062464 …

He'll get as much media attention from Republican-leaning news outlets as Hillary Clinton got from Democratic-tending ones. As in: not much. An occasional appearance on this or that show, when news makes him relevant.

Who besides the Toddler-in-chief thread has pre-committed to end/ignore the agenda-setting force after Jan. 20…?

And will he be allowed to tweet or access other social media from his cell at Rikers?

Key question is whether outlets other than FOX will continue to use him as cheap click bait/hate bait. My guess is that they will because attention is the ne of the game.

Hard to argue with that. Trump is the cult leader. & It's easier to listen to someone ranting and finger-pointing than to solve hard policy problems.

Trump shares perhaps just one trait with Obama, and I’d argue it’s an inability to deliver his base to the polls in significant numbers when he’s not on the ballot. (2010, 2014 for Obama and 2018 for Trump).

Oh, I should also include 2016 for Obama, as well. If this holds, then Trump is just poison for the GOP when he’s not a candidate.
