New Age has always has a fascist edge that was apparent to me back int the mid 80s when I saw followers warm to its pseudo magical “you are the captain of your ship” philosophy. Many didn’t pay attention to what that means for community.

Yeah but as someone who has spent substantial time around both fundamentalism and New Age, my take is fundamentalism is inherently much more dangerous on multiple levels. Unless you’re talking about just eating things that could be poisonous or are otherwise too heavily hyped.
