True. The Anderson people were the Nevertrumpers of their day. And there were actual Northeast liberal Republicans back then. I would think that the split would have been 4% Carter 2% Reagan. More than that is pushing it.

Weird thing is that I woke up thinking about the Carter-Anderson squabbles amongst older family members in 1980. And let's not forget the larger lens: FDR won by 60.8% in 1936 on the strength of of his progressive policies.
