I didn't think Biden was 2020's guy and I felt the Dems were too timid on policy.
But, now, seeing how hugely popular Trump remains, I think they made the right call.
Has any incumbent president lost* while increasing their vote before? Not Bush, Carter, Hoover or Taft.

Downballot is a different story, but coattails alone don't decide those. You have to have the right candidate in the right race.

Plus politics are, as the saying goes, local - you might hate Trump cause he’s crass, but like what your GOP gov/sen does for your state.
