So much twitter punditry ignores this basic fact! If the hyper engaged voters of a primary couldn’t get behind her (and voted for her), there’s no reason to believe the general would have been different.

Warren was the worst possible candidate the Dems could have nominated, imo. She would have probably lost the popular vote and absolutely lost the election. She had no appeal marginal voters and would have hyper-mobilized the right/Trumpists

idk she seems like exactly the type of dem suburban types love (wine track, high education, etc) and trump voters were already hyper mobilized

I'm a huge fan of Warren. She once had her own section of the site. But polls consistently showed her doing worse against Trump than Biden. I don't think there was any unique or significant role for polls associated with the Times.
