1. Thinking more on last night's debate, one big problem Trump has is that he's never clearly defined Joe Biden. Is Biden the career politician who hasn't done anything to change things for 47 years or is the AOC/Sanders puppet who will usher in a socialist revolution? Both?

Trump is always talking about “the best” thing you’ve ever seen. His best isn’t very good.

Correct, Jeet, but you're looking at it through the eyes of a rational, objective analyst. Now analyze it through the eyes of a person who only watches FNC. I live amongst FNC watchers in a deep red county, & I talk to these people every day. FNC is their version of reality.

This is the apotheosis of GOP politicking and “argument,” but it’s been going this way for a while. Remember how Obama was an effete, weak squish who simultaneously was somehow also an iron-willed, bloody-minded tyrant bent of taking all our right?

Yes. I thought the most powerful moment for Biden was when he delivered his “this election isn’t about his family or my family; it’s about your family.” Hunter email controversy may have been huge in 2016 - ‘19. It’s a tabloid-rag distraction during a pandemic.

The thing is, this type of tactic is par for the course for Trump, it just doesn’t work with Biden. I mean, they believed Hillary was simultaneously stunningly incompetent and the head of a super secret multinational crime conglomerate with a trail of bodies in their wake. /

The issue is, since there is no existing conspiratorial hysteria surrounding Biden (despite all efforts to create one), Trump’s “reality distortion field” doesn’t work so well this time. /x
