I'm assuming you read the entire piece, in which I deal not once but twice with the racism and its effect on the housing market, one historical and one today. In this case, I was referring to the market of a half century back before anti-redlining groups exposed blatant racism

Could I have added a few words to make that sentence clearer? Yes. Does a read of the story in toto make clear that the housing loan market is infected with racism, historically and today? Yes. (I've also reported voluminously on these injustices in past)
