The more rational point of view is the fact that 1619 critics have decided to focus on such tiny hills and ignore the vast majority of the essays and arguments is proof the critics aren't acting in good faith.

An arguable claim about American revolution is a tiny hill compared to the impact of slavery over several centuries. That seems obviously true to me and I wonder about people who can't see that.
