They deleted the tweet. But you might want to think about the fact that the Times has specifically warned its employees not to criticize Bret Stephens and now has given Stephens cart blanche to criticize others. If free speech is your concern, this should bother you

So you are in favor of the bosses limiting speech (as they are by forbidding open criticism of Stephens) but not unions making an objection to double standard. That's certainly a position but I wouldn't call it leftism.

She literally has no criticism of Times' position that employees aren't allowed to criticize Stephens. And she made up fact this was union policy when it was a rogue tweet that was deleted. That's dishonesty on many levels.

No, I'm just trying to keep you on topic since you love to float away. For the record: happy to decry the Times's position, which I didn't know about it until you told me. So: I have a position and my position is that it's bad. No what's the next dodge?

One tweet isn't a policy and I didn't say it was. It is revealing, though, of a guiding spirit, an agitation for orthodoxy that shouldn't come from a union. I realize you're next dodge will be to pretend it was aberrant. That's why I said we could meet back here next time.

Again, tweet was one persons view and union deleted it. For you to make it into something about the union (when collective decision was against tweet) is to falsify what happened. Dishonest union bashing in the service of anti-woke politics is ugly.

Not bashing a union as such, obviously. (A cheap dig that fools no one.) Just noting that the outrage at even mild criticism of the 1619 project is so robust it inspires what you call a rogue post from a union account. Revealing that it does.

It is union bashing to act as if rogue deleted tweet reflected collective will of the union. And what inspired tweet was likely not "mild criticism" but double standard whereby Stephens is allowed to criticize colleagues but not be criticized himself.

No idea what "likely" inspired it. But saying suchmild criticism "reeks" was a comment on its content, not on double standards Obvs 1 tweet doesn't *provably* reflect the will of the union. It reflects a shitty mindset that is tiresomely familiar and now going "rogue"
