        Interestingly the elite elite often get worse care (so-called VIP care typically leads to worse outcomes) but your point stands.

        I believe the opposite - thr last time we had a pandemic it spurred public health innovations because the only way to stamp out a pandemic is to stamp it out for all humans - regardless of wealth or status

        Precisely. During the Cuban Missile Crisis Kennedy's advisors wanted to go to war and watch it unfold in the WH bunker. Kennedy basically said no one is going to the bunker and asked his advisors if with this knowledge, war was still their preferred option. Of course, it wasn't.
