The people who urged RBG to resign from 2010-2013 were not the ones who sat out the 2016 election, unless Michael Tracey is Barack Obama's burner account (which is unlikely).

There’s a difference between her stepping down in 2023 being a good idea for various reasons and it being the - only - good idea. It would have made some sense for her to step down. It also made sense for her to stick around.
