Spielberg, by the way, is just the upscale Sorkin. He's at his best when he confines himself to the realm of childhood - for the most part his art never quite grew up. Whenever he attempts anything of gravitas, he fails, in part because he's as prone to believe in myths as Sorkin

I mostly agree with you I think; but the defence of intense naïvité found in Spielberg’s more sentimental work pales in comparison to the contrived faith in neoliberalism propagated by Sorkin.

Not quite how I remember it. More like Bobby calling the judge a racist pig motherf--ker. But it was years ago and I'm sure Sorkin thoroughly researched the actual events. Or not.
