McConnell’s strategy is simple. One, destroy Congress. Two, push all legislative decisions to the courts. And he’s just using the decades old project of legal liberalism to strip legislatures of power. The way out of this mess is and always has been to make Congress wield power.

Just look at the votes. GOP appointees voted 5-1 for Roe and Dem appointees voted 2-1 for Roe. This was about upper crust Republicans who wanted their daughters to have this right, as much as it was liberals (or, gasp, brown people).
