Scientists and elected officials need to do a better job explaining how climate change will affect everyone. People here in the Midwest, where a lot of swing states/voters are aren’t losing sleep about wildfires out west and hurricanes in the gulf. It’s outta sight/outta mind.

Some of the comments on the wildfire threads are... batshit crazy. I've spent the last 25 years arguing with the anti-science folks, but I've almost never seen this level of self-congratulating, ignorant denial.
