The theory that liberals want to join with Never Trumpers in a broad centrist effort to crush the left would be more persuasive if most liberals—senators, activists, pundits—didn’t support eliminating filibuster, and joining with left to enact major legislation, fight the right.

Well, it certainly won’t happen if the filibuster is not broken. And if it isn’t, it’s not going to be liberals fault, but conservative Dem senators like Feinstein, Manchin and Sinema. Liberals mostly on board.

All the leftists who are skeptical that Biden and other liberals will make any meaningful changes if they win should convince everyone they know to vote for Dems and find a task to do to help them carry the election. Otherwise, they will never know if they're right or not. Deal?

I don't need to be convinced that Biden is preferable to Trump. But the marginal voters who either voted 3rd party or stayed home in 2016 are going to need a better argument.
