The theory that liberals want to join with Never Trumpers in a broad centrist effort to crush the left would be more persuasive if most liberals—senators, activists, pundits—didn’t support eliminating filibuster, and joining with left to enact major legislation, fight the right.

I doubt he’s that type of *person* but he’s also the primary structure bearer if his own presidency. If a Dems at least cut it down to size—abolition is much preferred, but less likely—than his presidency is dead on arrival. There’s maybe six members to focus on incl. new ones.

He may not have been before, but I believe he will do everything it takes to get this country heading in the right direction. He wouldn’t have run if he didn’t.
