3. Trump styling himself as a peacenik is ridiculous: he's ramped up military attacks on civilians and engaged in dangerous games of chicken with rival powers like Iran, North Korea & China. But it's not enough to say Trump is a hypocrite & fraud without considering his audience
4. Trump's use of anti-war rhetoric speaks to the fact that there is a broad swath of the USA population that is in fact tired of the Forever Wars, an audience that includes many Republicans as well as marginal swing voters.
5. Trump is a con-man, but con-men often flourish when they can offer services or products that more reputable merchants won't provide.
