I don't understand why this distinction is difficult: kids might be less susceptible, but you don't send them into the worst possible environment when cases are surging.

Locally, we're going full remote until Oct 5. I'm assuming, if there is a spike, we'll reassess our strategy. This could have been a nonissue if we had quality, United leadership.

I definitely agree, but also: I hate this headline which reports the number of people going virtual instead of the number of confirmed cases (which is barely double digits) but in a way that implies that this is the number of cases.

In Germany, “reasonable safety” precautions include broad pro-active testing on a regular basis. Germany also has a strong public health system. In America, many sick people can’t afford to go to doctor. We can’t wish our way to safe schools. Testing and air purification.
