        Gun culture. Gun culture is the biggest reason we're here. People became so used to 38k deaths a year from gun violence that the pandemic results were almost inevitable. Add in the inherent racism and you see where we are.

        There's always debt, taxing the rich who can't leave, & funding stuff. If Dems don't end up with the Senate they need to get Romney to defect. They only get one shot at this but Congress will still be, objectively speaking, the most powerful actor in the world on Jan 20, 2021.

        Also, Trump and the GOP have helped build a large cultural force of COVID skepticism and anger at efforts to stop the virus, and those will calcify and become even more toxic in response to a Biden win.
