Totally agree with Jeet. Keep going, Kate. Can't stand my writing or voice, go nuts thinking everything I am saying is stupid, or obvious, or someone says it better. I even think it in this Tweet. Jeet is correct. Take a walk, keep writing.

Yep. Cyril Connolly (I think) once made a devastating comment that Norman Mailer didn't learn to hate his own voice and hence all his books were verbose and baggy.

I'd say it's a hate-love relationship. But the love part doesn't kick in until a decade after the book gets published.
