Tere's a relationship between *lifting lockdowns too soon* and the devastation we'll see this fall. Other countries stuck with it until they suppressed the virus. We didn't and we're all gonna pay the price, with the poorest, most at-risk kids paying the steepest price

Correct. But here's a sincere question: what about the parts of the country that did *not* lift the lockdowns too soon, and have gotten their numbers way down? How should they be approaching school differently than the current hot zones, or not?

I definitely think places like New York, if they had a good plan in place, could be in a a position to reopen schools soon. Here in Canada there are many places (not all) where I think safe school openings are possible.
