All democratic politics is by definition exclusionary (the goal of politics to advance one faction over another). Elitist politics usually far more exclusionary than populist movements. Anyways, I won't say more til my article comes out. It'll explain in detail.

Democratic politics (small d) might be exclusionary in terms of elections but that doesn’t equate to policy. Dems since 1960s, despite your unwillingness to see, have featured both inclusive policy & policy aimed at the disadvantaged & underserved. The fact none have been perfect
