The problem with the one-binational-state that @PeterBeinart proposes in @NYTimesOpinion today is that the vast majority of Israeli Jews don't want to live in it. "A Jewish home that is not a Jewish state" is not what they built/moved to/inherited. https://www.nytimes.com/2020/07/08/opinion/israel-annexation-two-state-solution.html?searchResultPosition=1 …

You don’t have to go back as far as 1980. Even into the early 1990s whites by large margins rejected one-person one vote.https://electronicintifada.net/content/israeli-jews-and-one-state-solution/8528 …

Did the majority of white Americans, particularly White Southerners wanted to live on terms of equality with their Black fellow citizens in 1958 (or for that matter right now)? See http://www.xoxohth.com/thread.php?thread_id=2845379 …

I think this an interesting response. Question. Does the fact that there was a Dutch homeland and no 1000 year history of oppression change the moral calculus of this analogy? I am not sure it does, but I’m sure many will make that point.

A significant number of the Black South Africans did not say out loud constantly that they wanted to cleanse the area of the white South Africans all together. This is and always will be an absurd comparison.
-
It's not an absurd comparison, actually. Glad to clear that up.

What does this have to do with a 1 state jeet? The Palestinians themselves dont want it.
