Trump would be a lot better off just if he just dedicated himself to bullshit virtue signaling. If he just limited himself to empty platitudes about how "We're all in this together" or some such variation for the next 4 months he'd be in a lot better shape.

The problem for people on one side of the divide is that Trump doesn't seem to have any interest in talking about the pandemic. Like, we've been through this before. He got bored of it quickly and pivoted to "the economy" and then said nothing of substance on it.
