The point of this is valid but I also think "the enemy of my enemy" adage is relevant. Trump has prompted coalitions that don't necessarily agree on all policy aims. But they agree on particular standards of leadership. And the goal is to get Trump out and someone capable in.

Really bothers me that they have coopted Lincoln as well. Never forget that all these guys worked and did really awful things for a long long time and only now when ostracized from the movement they helped create do they act in self interest.
