You butchered that punchline. In the joke, the two are surrounded by a passel of murderous injuns, and the Lone Ranger says "Looks like we're in for it now, Tonto, old Kimosabe." (which means "faithful friend") At which point, Tonto says "What you mean 'we', white man?"
