So quick thread about yesterday. When I woke up, the last thing I expected was a scotus victory for the millions of people who worked so hard for dignity and equality and justice. And a day after 15,000 people marched to say #BlackTransLivesMatter

I thought of Pauli Murray, the legal genius who fought to get the sex provision into the 1964 Civil Rights Act. She said that it “is exceedingly difficult for a Negro woman to determine whether or not she is being discriminated against because of race or sex.”
