2. Trump wants to be a strongman but he's weak, weak, weak. That's the dynamic here. His coalition is splintering and he's getting pummelled in the polls. The hard right -- Coulter, Carlson -- are goading him by calling him weak. And he's weak enough to listen.

This President has absolute cult-like devotion from the police and the rank-and-file of the armed forces. The armed militias think he is God. The man has taken over his party and survived a successful impeachment. It’s wishful thinking to dismiss him as weak.
