This seems obviously right to me. What's the argument against this?https://twitter.com/AdamSerwer/status/1265402997858873345 …

I don’t think that’s right. The genius of Trump in this regard is that he understood that this platform was perfect for him – he’s not really an Instagram guy! – and that he could go straight to the voters without intermediaries. Your scenario denies him that adrenaline rush.

To put it another way: why would a guy who has been thriving in a 21st-century means of direct communication be content with going back to something more 20th century? It doesn’t compute, and it doesn’t match up with anything we’ve seen regarding his behavior.

Twitter is unique. Trump moving to gab or any "conservative Twitter" knockoff would be hugely embarrassing. Millions would absolutely tune out.

The presidency predates tweeter, it will survive without tweeter.

That's right, Trump can find other platforms, but Twitter is not a common carrier, it has always applied standards. I am on Twitter and not Parler because I appreciate those standards. Trump violates them, why shouldn't Twitter say so?

Interesting, recentering ALL these timelines now, reflexively or otherwise?
