Eh bring back Mincome! Not a fan of control groups that only include the unemployed (I think that's what it said?) That makes the arg for robust UI, not necss UBI. Some of their findings were, e.g., staying in school, supporting loved one, quitting shit job to start a business.

In theory yes it would. Even those that use it to do nothing would be spending more. It could reduce personal debt faster and then mean more money to spend/save/invest for many struggling. It would mean a huge upheaval for the outdated system and that will be face opposition.
