1/One thing I haven't seen people point out is the significance of the fact that NY has had zero protests whatsoever thus far (even as CA/MA have). I'm not sure it's a red/blue thing, but rather that cognitive dissonance is harder when you know someone who has died from this.

2/while NY's density and mass transit make it likely most vulnerable to COVID, it's most certainly going to spread everywhere soon and significantly. While it's likely to hit urban centers and low income workers worst, that will be outweighed as it affects more people directly.
