1. So what would re-opening of society look like. As it happens, I'm in a position to offer some thoughts since I'm in Saskatchewan, which has a very low rate (6 deaths per million, as against 90 for Canada & 197 for USA) & is phasing in re-opening.

5. Based on what's happened here & in Asia, I suspect "re-opening" won't be a one-time thing but a constant tug of war lasting till the vaccine is found. There will be openings, then social distancing collapse will create outbreaks, leading to lockdowns, followed by new openings

That's what it's been like here in BC, and we haven't even officially released any official plans. Just a result of several days of "good" numbers and the government saying they'll announce the plans

Alberta announced May 14 as a tentative date for stage 1, but it could be postponed if there's another spike.I think it's still too soon given the outbreaks in the meat plants but it provides some wiggle room to push the opening date if people are not respecting social distancing

IN just announced their phased plan and my daughter and I have been texting along these exact lines for the last hour or so. Going to be interesting. And we’re darn well not jumping in too quickly.
