1. So what would re-opening of society look like. As it happens, I'm in a position to offer some thoughts since I'm in Saskatchewan, which has a very low rate (6 deaths per million, as against 90 for Canada & 197 for USA) & is phasing in re-opening.

3. So far, so good. The government is handling it responsibly. The one area that is worrying is public reaction. Immediately after announcement (i.e. 2 weeks before phase 1 even started) many more people were out walking, not doing social distancing etc.

4. That's going to be a real problem with phased in re-openings. Most people don't know how to calibrate -- it's either lockdown or a moshpit, like flipping a switch.

5. Based on what's happened here & in Asia, I suspect "re-opening" won't be a one-time thing but a constant tug of war lasting till the vaccine is found. There will be openings, then social distancing collapse will create outbreaks, leading to lockdowns, followed by new openings

We should be concerned with Covid rates in carceral places. Particularly since in Sk, incarceration rates for indigenous people are 65% federal and 75% provincial. In BC there is not enough info on what happened in the Mission, BC prison. There are data gaps here in Canada
