"Can Biden be trusted?" is an odd question. Can he be trusted to be progressives' dream President, governing as a true progressive would if he were President himself? Probably not. But why would that be a realistic expectation of anyone, except maybe Bernie Sanders?

"Can Biden be trusted to give progressive ideas a fair hearing, and put his weight behind well-conceived policy proposals?" is a much more realistic question. There is no reason to think the answer is anything other than yes.
