2. I mean a drama about an America that is rapidly unraveling under the misrule of a bigoted president who uses the slogan “America First” is not ideal relief for anyone hoping for a break from today’s news cycle. Not surprising if people watch Tiger King instead.

3. Philip Roth was pretty adamant that his novel wasn't meant to be a political allegory but rather a speculation. But as so often, the text has taken on a life beyond authorial intent. It's a dystopia that pretty eerily anticipated current dilemmas.
